ok i just perchaced a cisco 4506 catalyst switch it has 3 48 port rows and 2 cpus , i am waiting for the ups for them my question is how do u set these bad boys up ?i have only set up 2950s 3550 and 3750 switches ,these are a little out of my range what do i need to know and are they simular to the 2950 switches ,i am useing 2 vlans with these switches vlan 10 and vlan 11 , and voip

4506 catalyst switch ? setup ,anyone have ?

As Rookthis said they are basically the same. Are you running Catos or IOS on the 4500s? I have a bunch of 4500s that are running IOS. The first thing that I would do is download the latest version of IOS (I like IOS better then CatOS, probably because I have more of a router background).
