Can anyone tell me if the 4406D+ has alternate ring tones? If so, how do I change. Thanks

You could be talking about personalized ringing patterns. If so the 4406D does have. Press your intercom button and lift the receiver. Dial #00. Press the intercom line button. dial *32 now as you dial the digits on the dial 1 thru 8 you will hear different patterns. It is set for pattern 1 now. The last button you dial will be the pattern you will have on your set. When finished listening to these press #*00 to exit programming. lg

I don't mean to sound ignorant but which button is the "intercom" button? If I hit the speaker button, this gives me a dial tone, i pick up the receiver and press #00 and receive a sound like I've dialed a wrong number. Is the intercom button a programmed button?

By the way, thanks for your help.

It is one of the six buttons used on the set. Chances are you have an SA button instead of an intercom button. When someone calls you from another extension in the system you answer on the intercom button. If you are getting a waive off sound or the NO no NO no sound then you may be on an IP office system and not a Magix. Are you sure you are on a Magix? lg

I am on an IP office system and receiving the NO no NO no sound.

I guess I'm in the wrong group. Can you still help? I'm a bit desperate. If not, thanks for everything.

I believe in the IP office the 4400 type sets cannot have a personal ring pattern. You may ask someone in the IP office group but I believe you will get the same answer. lg

I was afraid you were going to give me that answer. It doesn't surprise me that we don't have alternate ring tones.

Thanks for all your help. I really appreciate it.

It depends on the release of IP Office whether or not it supports different rings on the 44xx series sets. If you go into Manager, under the User profile, Telephony Tab has your ringer options.

You may also try this. IF you have the update that allows the 4400 type sets to have personal rings. While your set is idle...without picking up the receiver or turning on the speaker..press the conference button. If you hear a ringing pattern, press it a second time...if it changes then keep pressing it until you hear a pattern you like. Once you stop pressing the conference button it will ring once more with a beep after the pattern and now you have changed your ringing pattern. lg

Thanks for all your help. I have to do this in the manager, just as Telecomboy states.

Have a good one and thanks for being brilliant.
