Following on from my post about link a 5520 to 425 via fibre I am trying to configure the 425-24T GBIC port as a trunk and add multiple VLANs to it but it gives the error (when adding VLAN 5):
Code:
rcVlanPortMembers.5: inconsistentValue

Currently the switch is setup with the connection to the main site using an access port with only VLAN32. This was done years ago because the optic converter supplied didn't support multiple VLANs. VLAN10 is the current management VLAN but it needs to be 1.

I can make port 25 (the GBIC) a trunk and add VLAN1 and VLAN32 to it but if I try and add VLAN5,10,33 etc to it the same error comes up. I've tried doing the same to other ports and get the same error so it's not specific to the GBIC port.

Any ideas what this means and how to resolve it?

Cancel that. I deleted the VLANs, recreated them and then I could add them.
