I'm having some problems with a 412tdl card that I installed a few months ago. My company purchased it with the idea that we would be able to take advantage of the extra extentions until we moved and then we could use the extra CO ports. Well we ended-up never using the card, so it just sat in the clamshell with nothing hooked into it.

We just moved and we've been having problems getting our Merlin Magix system to recognize the card. Per a suggestion on the forum, I called in a phone technician to look at the system. He said that the card is showing as an 016 Analog card in the system. However, the system inventory shows it as a 412tdl. He removed our working 412tdl and replaced it with the bad one and nothing worked. So the system definitly does not recognize the card.

At this point I'm at a loss. On one hand I've got the telecomm guy telling me we need a new card. On the other hand, I've got the company that sold me the card telling me that its not possible for the card to show as a 412tdl in inventory, but as a 016 in system params. And since they don't agree with the telecomm guy, they're not willing to replace the card.

Any ideas?

If the 412TDL is the last card in your system go ahead and try a board renumber. This will cold start the system and make the processor recognize the 412TDL. Brian Cox
