Greetings,

Is it possible to define the range of VoIP extensions (using 46XX phones) when autocreate extention and user is ON?

Right now, every VOIP phone gets an extension which begins with 510, I would prefer to change that to 810. Obviously without changing evey extension manually.

Thanks

seeing as there is no setting anywhere to specify what extension to create I would think you are out of luck. Could it be that the number it creates for you is the highest existing extension plus 1 or some other form of algorythm?

If you can't be good, be good at it!

I think Westi is right
Try to make one manual and the rest automatic
It will ask you for a reboot but i never do that

That was one of the things I tried first. Didn't work. It still creates a new extension acording to its own rules.

Just make them manualy
You do not need to reboot even when it says so (only do this with ipextensions !)

The trick is, I want to be able to add IP phones, without me being here or login in remotely. Essentially Plug and Play

What version are you on
From 4.1 and higher the extension is being asked like you are hotdesking (same screen)

As long there are users in the system you can do this
But watch out with this
It really can screw your system when they enter the wrong extensions

I would not do this myself !

Unfortunately this is not an option either. These phones will be in a room full of temprary staff, who change every 5 minutes. So I don't want them doing any login in.

Let the customer change the names
With 4.0 or 4.1 there are more option for that
You can give them only the option to change users

Or name them flexuser1 till flexuser100 :)

Again, not quite what I'm looking for.
Right now I have a bunch of normal extensions, which don't have users. Works great. I plug in, phone display shows extendsion. No work on my part (I stay in the bar)

Now that I'm using fiber to the new building, I need to use IP phones. I don't even want to walk over there, just tell someone where the phone is, and let them plug it in anywhere.

Then use hotdesking
Then at least the phone's have an extension
You still need to change the users
