403 upgrade

Hi,

we want to upgrade the ipo 403 3.1.48 to 3.2.55, but i can not see any .bin files in the 403 directory in upgrade manager like 3.1.999, how can i upgrade the 403 unit.

First thing I would do is when you open the upgrade wiz right click and make sure the selected directory has the bin files you are lokkin for. If the bins are not there they can also be found on the Admin CD.

Perform the first stage of the upgrade by using the ip403.bin file found in the Manager / IP403V1_99 sub-folder.

PROCEDURE

To perform the first stage of the upgrade:

Open an explorer window and browse to the directory where Manager is stored.

Open an explorer window and browse to the directory where Manager is stored. Open the IP403V1_99 sub-folder. Copy the ip403.bin file from the sub-folder to the top level Manager working directory opened in the other explorer window.

If ther folder doesn't exist, re- install the Manager.

Read Technical Bulletin 71. That will tell you how to upgrade to 3.2. The only step it says is to upgrade to 3.1.65 first then you can go to 3.2. I did the upgrade on our test 403 and I don't remember doing all the different steps like you have to on a 406. But then again it is a test unit so I always default it after the upgrade then do test programming on it.

offline upgrade.

ps ducatisenna stands for the ducati 916 senna edition ?

yes, I have a Ducati 916 senna edition,
i installed directly from 3.1.48 to 3.2.55.

like i siad you should have gone first to 3.1.65
take this advise and always read the tech bulletin(s) that belongs to the software version you are going to use
