Is with my Distributer but, My Scenario.

1 Bell,
4 Users.

Customer wants the bell to ring if any of the 4 users are called.
So I cannot use Internal twinning as 4 users.

I tried creating a new group for each user, putting themselves into it with the bell.

so users,
a user 8100 -Group Created, 8200 no vm/queueing/Collective
b user 8101 -Group Created, 8201 no vm/queueing/Collective
c user 8102 -Group Created, 8202 no vm/queueing/Collectiven
d user 8103 -Group Created, 8203 no vm/queueing/Collective
bell 8110

On the forwarding tab, unconditional set on and internal calls set to on. HUNT GROUP CALLS NOT SELECTED.

Call the Huntgroup lovely both ring.
Call the user with the forward, it just rings the bell.

In SSA it shows trace info for the bell but nada for the 5410.

Also tried this will coverage/bridge appearence I cant get this working.

Other notes,
Has line appearance keys & 2 Call CA, with last reserved.

Help me.

I think you need four analog ports that are forwarded to the bell
Those analog ports can be used to twin
I think that is the only solution
It will cost four ports

That make sense to me, you are forwarding the phone to itself. I'm surpised it doesn't crash the system. Why don't you have the users at the company just dial the group number? or change the hunt group number to the old ext number and renumber the phone?

Ronromano, see your point, But surely this is the point of not selecting forward huntgroup calls no?

tlpeter,

Do you recon I could do this with IP Users?

So I forward each IP user to Bell.
The use twinning with each created user?

I remember that i tried it before
And ip users did not work at that time
It was on a fieldtrial version for 4.0 at the time
But you can give it a try :)

hey chumpy!

sounds like you are making things more difficult than needed. If customer wants extension to ring same bell, then change the numbering plan as ronromano says. They ring same number they are used to and it works without getting into forwarding here and there!

Chumpy. Ah ROTFLMFAO.

I wish I could use this, its the whole directory thing. They must appear in the INDEX/ Not groups.

Its Part of 12 site SCN so I do begrudgingly understand the customers request.

ha ha, i see you have no stars either!

Back to your problem. Set up mobile twinning on each user but just put the bell extension number in. can't test where I am but I would say that would work.

but you can only twin one pair. This is confirmed in the old Knowledge base too, unless I am miss reading your suggestion.

mobile twinning can be for every user, not normal twinning. in manager it says put line access code but don't, put the extension. They will have to get 4 twinning licenses to do it but heh, thems the breaks!

I can't test..

just did a quick test. the mobile twinning sends the call out onto the network even if I use an internal number, will try a short code or play around with line access codes, but...

what you could do is mobile twin to a DDI which points at Bell! Now, that will work...

TL did try your suggestion its only ringing the handset and not following the pairing.
