3X8 Caller ID problem

Hi everyone

I have a problem with the caller ID on a 3X8. Caller ID work very well on line 1 and 2 but not on line 3. I've check the programmation and everything look the same for all the lines and also look at the Call Services section for the sets and look fine too. The caller ID on line 3 work on a house phone

Any one as a clue of what would be the problem?

Caller ID on the 3x8 is available in services on a per line basis to one extension only to appear before lifting the handset.

What happens when that line rings and you do Feature 811, call information?

Do a line copy from 2 to 3 and check that the set is allowed Caller ID and that line 3 rings and not appear and ring.

I meant line 3 to Appear and Ring and not just Appear.

The only settings for caller id are set to ring on that line, call services, auto call info. is set for that line one extension only.

For your info you were all right and my programming was OK. I went onsite today and find out that the line 3 goes trough a Fax machine before the phone system and this fax machine don't transfer caller ID. Fail

In that case if you get a line share device like THE STICK it will pass caller ID as well detect if to send to fax line or KSU.
