I have a point to point PRI between 2 sites that are passing VM traffic to a Call Pilot. I am having issues with the circuit dropping intermittently. I am new to the troubleshooting of this issue, but ne of the first things that I noticed was that the channels are configured as 3VCE as opposed to VCE, which is how I usually configure them. Is there any advantage to configuring them either way?

It can be changed on the fly, but I always pick 3VCE because it is known to pass certain fax transmission better.

If it is dropping, I would suspect the CSU or the carrier before anything else.
