3rd Party Video Endpoint

I'm new to video endpoints, so sorry if this seams simple or dumb. We have a customer with an IPO R11 that has a DoorBird video doorbell connected to teh IPO via 3rd Party IP endpoint license. The door bell works great with the IPO. They would also like the ability to view the video on a desk phone. All of their desk phones are J179. Their IT guy is suggesting to just use a 3rd party SIP video phone. I guess I have a few questions...

1) If we install a Vantage K155 or K175, will video from the DoorBird device come through the Avaya phone fine?
2) If we use the 3rd party video phone, is the only license I need a 3rd Party Endpoint license?
3) What video codecs do the IPO support, or where can I find this?

I would suggest that perhaps the K175 plus a Nest Home Security Phone. Basically, install the device, load up the app on the K175 Tabl... phone, then it theoretically works.

I haven't tested this,but in theory it might work.

oh, thats true, I didnt even think about that. the Doorbird has an android app, so I will try that on the K175 on our demo system.

bump. does anyone have any experience with 3rd party video devices?

One of our customers (a school for the deaf) has the Algo 8036 Video doorphone and it works with video calls to the K175. They are very happy with it. Neither unit is cheap though.

We've never tried third party video desk phones though.

was there any extra setup you had to do with the IPO, or once one device called the other the video just connected with the audio?
