Hi All.

Silly question here.

I've got an ip office 500 v2 running 9.1.12, and have created a new SIP extension.
When I created the extension it said that I had exceeded the number of licenses (The number of non-Avaya ip extensions exceeds the number licensed). When I go into ssa, I see 3rd party endpoint licenses available 16, in use 11. So I have 5 free.

Why am I getting this message?

Regards

I believe that message pops up if you have more SIP extensions than licenses. You can just ignore it.

You may have 11 in use, but you already have 16 configured. On Extensions, add the column for Phone Type then sort by type. Nearly everything that says Unknown SIP device will have a "Reserved Licence" on it.

You'll need to remove unused extensions or buy more 3rd party lics.

Never seen it on an standalone IP500 V2, but in Server Edition I've seen it because the WebLM doesn't issue another license to the server for the new extension until you've saved the config.

Stuck in a never ending cycle of file copying.

If you have 15 3rd party endpoing licences and create 16 SIP extensions this message will come up regardless of how many of those extensions are live (and it doesn't matter if they are reserved or not either).

Its a stupid alarm as I have no 3rd party licences but 15 SIP extensions (J169s and B179s) using Avaya IP endpoints, but I still get the alert.
