Hi All!
Thanks in advance. I am running the IPO 500 Manager 6.2 (14).

Scenario:
We have an investor that works for another company that we will be doing work for. That investor wants access to be able to listen in on calls for quality assurance. Is this possible for the investor to be able to monitor calls?

The only way that I can think of is to set the investor up with VPN access and load the phone manager pc softphone and let them listen that way...but that cost money for a license...so if there is another way...please let me know.

Thanks~!

Rob

Doc, we better back up. We don't have enough road to get up to 88.

Every solution you want will cost money so you have a problem :)

You could set up a vpn and use an ip phone

record the calls and send them to the customer by e-mail, then they can spend hours listening to the audio of the calls and waste their time with it instead of yours :p

btw will this be for a specific users? if so there is a facility to listen live on the system to calls.

we have this setup as a shortcode using the feature "call listen" you could then use this as a direct listen to 1 user. or if you have voicemail pro, point to this and then have the listener key in the extention.

this may be another solution for you. not all that easy but usefull especially when call recording uses up those valuable ports on the voicemail pro (assuming you are using this for your call recording.)

It's not what you know. It's who's on Tek-Tip's

You can try a VM Pro solution --

Incoming route to a DISA VM Pro Module
Password protected
and use short codes to access listen features

this woudl be a free solution if you have VM Pro.

We do have VM Pro.

Overdraft...this would be for an investor that our company is doing work for. They want to be able to listen in on calls that our company is making for them, they are not a user.

Tomdefeo - thanks. what is a DISA? Some of this Avaya stuff is still new to me. sorry

sorry -- I messed that one up -- you would need a Mobile Call Control (Twinning) license - using the FNE feature you can create a phantom user with rights to montitor certain extensions. Be Careful this will give the call-in user direct access to the system so they can use shortcodes to listen into active calls.

I do not wan tto put here the exact way to do this. But the folowing link should help you build this feature.

Thanks tomdefeo, I will check out the link. We do have licenses for "mobility features", I assume that is Twinning.

incoming call route to a VM Pro module

module shoul;d request password to access the system --

then the menu would be a "$" to accepot any key combo...

then a assisted transfer ...

the user when dialing into the call route qwould be asked for a general passowrd then would recieve a dial tone and can dial short code *17 to restrieve voicemails.

You can set in huntgroups or at user extension level to record calls to the mailbox that you give your invester access to
