3rd Party Backups

I am having trouble backup the exchange database using Data Protector, I have been informed that during the install of Exchange 2007, there is an option to allow 3rd party utilities to see and backup the database...

I'm not sure how true this is, can someone shed some light pls?

Hi,

The option you mention is not in there. You should install Exchange 2007 and after that install the appropiate agent for Exchange 2007 on the mailbox server.
