Hey- I'm a total newbie to after effects, and I am wondering how to do some basic 3d animation.

I've got a logo that I want to three dimentionalize ( just a basic extrude or somthing, nothing fancy) Then I want to key frame it up and have it fly on and off the screen.

Any help or direction would be sweet. Thanks!

Dave

the only way I can do 3D effectsa is with a 3rd party plug in like Zaxwerks "Invigirator" or InvigiratorClassic" wiush can 3D only Adobe Illustrator files in AF.

There is an easy way to do this, just import as a composition, this brings all the layers separetaly into the timeline. Just flick the 3d switch and set up an active camera. You can then animate the camera and the layers so you have a cool animation

HI there ur simple solutions is that u can try photoshop if u r unware of ne 3d tools. just make the logo/text extrude/bevel and import in ae5.5 and u have to make sure that the layer u imported this pic is 3D layers and u have the facilities to rotate or ne other 3d option.
