Is this modem (WinModem) configurable to use with Linux?

Side note: Is linuxconf not included with 7.3? The last version I ran was 6.2?

If not, what replaces it (besides knowing your way around the OS)?

By the way, (I'll answer my own post -- does this mean I'm getting smarter?)

NO, it will not work in any flavor of Linux. I put a real (read: hardware) modem in -- a Sporster 33.6 -- and Linux likes it fine (after I found out where it was).
