3COM NIC Promiscuous Mode 1

I am having problems getting a 3COM (3c905cx-tx-m) NIC to go into promiscuous mode. I have tested the NIC using several network sniffing applications. None are seeing network traffic -- only broadcasts. How can I force the NIC to be in promiscuous mode?

It is possible that you have the NIC in the Prom.Mode
correctly and not seeing all of the network traffic due
to the type of concentrators you have on the network.
I your nodes connected thru HUBS or Switches ?

Hi i have the same problem .. i can only view traffic from the local machie and the broadcasts on the network ...i have a mix of switches and hubs in my network and the machine with the sniffer software is connected to a switch ... please help ??
