I recently bought an IBM 760XL laptop computer for working on the road or at home when the desktop is in use.
It came with a 3Com 28.8/14.4 Data/Fax PC Card Modem and a
3Com 10 Mbps LAN PC Card.
I want to be able to use either Card, LAN when I travel, modem at home.
I think the modem is working fine, but when I tried to get on a broadband connection using the the LAN card and CAT 5 cable, it wouldn't work. I've never tried hooking to a LAN, so I don't know the steps needed....
Thanks.
