I need to bridge two networks. On one end I have what is essentially a cable modem, and on the other end I have a 3Com 3c892 ISDN Router. I want to make the 3com ISDN router the WAN connection for another router that I have. Wouldn't it be possible to plug the Wan port cable from a Cable/DSL router into the hub end of the 3com router? When the Cable/DSL router makes a call to the WAN port, it will hit the 3com Router, initiate a ISDN connection to the internet and everybody is happy. Anybody ever done this before?

The 3C892 modem is an ISDN BRI LAN/Modem/router -

The WAN connection must be ISDN. The LAN connection is ethernet-

I think you are trying a band aid for some reason that I know not. So, can you tell me why you want to do this ?

I'm familiar with the 3C892 and 3C892A boxes and have used them for years- well, okay since ISDN BRI access came to my 'hood' in 1992.

The older I get, the less I know
