3905 expansion modules

I have a 3905 reception phone with 2 expansions modules and the second expansion module was acting up (all dns blinking) over the weekend so I replaced the second module with a new one and it was fine until noon today when all dn keys just started flashing again.
This customer is 2 hours away from me so I would love to hear some easy solution or troubleshooting technique if anyone has any.
