I have a 3904 that has the message lamp stuck on. I tried a disu and enlu on it and also a manual unplug but the lamp presists. is there another way (on option 11) to turn the light off, there are no messages in the users voicemail.

check the mail for a different mb that is lighting that lamp. to turn off and on lights from your phone, add mik and mck keys to your set, press the mck, dial the number press the mck again.. lamp goes out

Thanks,
I checked the MB already, and there isn't anything pointing to it. You'll have to forgive my ignorance but what is mck and mik?

That part I understand but I don't get what the MIK and MCK do, what do they stand for? I haven't been doing this phone thing very long so its probably a dumb question but I have never heard of these particular keys.

MIK Message indicator key, MCK Message Cancel, Are from the time when attendants would take messages, also if you had an octel vm.

One other thing. To use the keys. To cancel a lite. Press MCK key then enter ext. number (if lite is lit the indicator will start to flash) then press the mck kay again. do the same for MIK key.
