Hello everyone, Through OTM, where do I enable the message and call log buttons on a 3904 set? I have an option11, and an option 81c.

Ok, when I go to the station admin and log in to that station, I go to Features and then MWA, on there I go to MWA, key 16, when i try to add the TN for my voicemail (64199), I get an error Message, Message Center DN failed Validation, DN 64199 not in Numbering Plan.

Thanks AceWarlock, you pointed me in the right direction. It worked after I added my voicemail extension to the dialing plan as a voicemail number, thanks.

Sounds like you are using OTM. Can you log directly into the switch and make the change?

Yeah jamie2, if you read the first post, they are using OTM, whatever that is.

OTM (Optivity terminal manager) For people that have no traing on the Meridian 1 to make changes to the system. I think it is a piece of junk and I use CLI (Command line Interface) and have been since 1979. few real tech's would use it.

Amen Ace.....OTM is a waste of technicians training dollars, and a pile of Duke.....have a star on me!

otm.. only the mindless.. spend months learning the app and it will get replaced by one that works almost as good...

Sorry guys, OTM is pretty useful for me, and a real tech would make use of all his tools, not just his old ones. But thanks for all the help anyways

True, OTM is junk, but until my company sends me to training, I am stuck. So once again, thanks for the input guys. I hope the stars help.

I've never found anything that OTM could do that I couldn't do faster and safer using CLI. I didn't mean to offend anyone that use's OTM, is's just that you can't fix anything with OTM. And thank's fot the star fender1973

very true acewarlock, I watch the SBC techs like hawks, and they use the terminal very quickly. Now what I do is I print the monitor screen from OTM and it shows the commands it uses to login and do all its work, I can then log in to the terminal and copy it's commands, so little by little, I am trying to ween myself from OTM. One day!!!! Hahaha, once again, thanks for all the help. What fun would it be if we could not pick on each other once in a while, I have never met a good tech that does not enjoy a good ribbing once in a while. like someone on this site said "it's just dial tone".

Fender, to wheen yourself from OTM, you should learn how to write or at least use scripts in Procomm. They are so much faster than running global changes via OTM and you can even make a small GUI to build your phones.

Fender, there is no time like now to ween off of OTM. I learned quite a bit before I went to training (Command Line), and going to training was a lot more fun because of that. Everything comes much easier at the training facility, labs go faster, you have more confidence than anyone in your class ect. All of us here in the forum always take pop shots at OTM, so none of this was directed at you. Start using CLI and I'm sure you will get all the help you need here. Everyone is pretty generous!
