Hi there,
I have a stack of four WS-C3750-48PS-S Switches on the user lan.

I have one WS-C3750G-48TS-S that was assigned to training that now needs to join the user lan.

Is it possible or even advisable to add a WS-C3750G-48TS-S to the current stack??

Thanks,

absolutely. it doesn't look like it is a PoE model, but if you don't care it won't care

Check your IOS versions: the stack will want to update the new member and depending on what the difference is, there may be manual steps required using the archive command to make it happen.

archive copy-sw /overwrite /destination-system 5 1
( 1 is the source system)

and then

reload slot 5

Point the stack to your syslog server and make it log informational and you will see all the steps it takes to add the 5th switch to the stack.
Worth doing, for educational reasons, and also if there is any problem it will help you quickly figure out what you need to do.
