Hello All,
We have a few new WS6 and encountering issues loading OPS.
We have updated the cal and the loading screen process. MDShost file goes green but OPS is yellow and never loads.
Any help would be appreciated.

RES3700 5.2

check all your ip address and confirm the same on your host file .

you can also delete the mdshost file and create a new one then copy to ws6 manually , i have experienced ws6 sometimes doesn't load the files automatically also che the computer name on mdshost

Hi Jackba,
Thanks for the suggestion. I manually updated the MDShost file but the issue persists. Call loads. MDShost goes green, all other items are yellow and Cal disappears.

did you confirm the computer name for the workstation with the one on mdshost file? also is the user on the workstation in the admin group ?

When you say "all the others are yellow"... can you say what exactly are the others? Is "POS Operations" one of them?

Do you want some custom SIM scripts developed. Contact me via my website

Hello Jackba and CathalMF,

I have confirmed the proper computer name and admin is part of the admin group.

MDShost is green.
OPS is yellow along with KDS, Drivethrough and KPI. We dont use any except for OPS of course.

We received a new CAL from Oracle support yesterday and reloaded the CAL directory under the server with no improvement.

Thank you all,

1. Try and launch the Ops.exe from the micros BIN directory manually. What does it do?
2. Open the appstarter.cfg file and post it here. Its in \cf\micros\bin

Micros support provided the CAL for 5.4. I changed the CAL to 5.2 and that solved the issue.
Now, the resolution doesn't match the WS screen. I see icons on all sides.
what do you think?

The resolution is set in the Pos Configurator -> Devices -> User Workstations -> Display

Delete whatever is in the resolution bits and it will go fullscreen.

They were set to 0.
I deleted them and it worked.
Thank you all for your assistance.

Hi POSN,
I have WS6 and it cannot connect to Server 5.2.
Do you have the CAL Client for these version?
I tried with WIN32CAL119 but it doesn't work.

Thanks

regards,
Mirko

Hi OP, quick question, we have RES 3700 5.2 MR2, but have been told by our contact at Oracle that we will need to be running 5.4 to be able to purchase WS6 tills... are you running the WS6 tills on 5.2 successfully?

Thanks

Well its works on some of our sites so I don't thing its necessary but that's just my opinion

Hello,
We used the win32 Cal from the 5.2 server however, the idn printers didn't work as well as the uareu finger print readers.
We have an upgrade scheduled with the site for September.
