I have a 3600 that dumps the config everytime I recycle the power. Anyone know why?

You have to save the config in its NVRAM, assuming you are loading off of that. Do a "show startup config" to verify...

Sorry, didnt mention before. This is after saving to NVRAM.

Check your config-register in show version.

This may be a repeat message because my connection failed.

I checked and it was set at x02142. In the process of changing back to 0x2102, it hung up. Now NVRAM is corrupt. Displaying ASCII, Hex, etc. characters during boot. Cannot break and hangs during boot. This is via console port. W/O a flash card, is there another way to reconfigure this?

Try connecting with differnet baud rates, go though all of them, it sounds like the config register was set to an odd setting.
