Can someone give me a heads up on where to get the 355a adapter and the cost?

You can sometimes find them on Ebay. Another thing you can do is make one with a RJ45 to DB9/25 adaptor. There are a few posts on the forum about it. There are some resistors and diodes in the 335a, but the posts discuss that

if you are wanting to use it for programming via a laptop you can just make a rj45 to db9 cable. that is what i use aal the time. here is the pinout:

db9 rj45
2 5
3 6
5 4
8 7
7 8
4 3
1 2
9 1

thanks, tim

I have used both pin out with no luck maybe the admin port is bad can I do a reset on it someway?

what version are you using to connect with? What baud rate? Try changing the baud rate. The pin out I gave you has never failed me in the past.

ditto, i use the pinout i gave all the time. also, make sure you are in the admin port, not the smdr port.

thanks, tim
