We currently have two 3550G. 3550 A is our main production and 3550 B is our lab. On 3550 A we have the first four GBIC slots full and the last two 10/100/1000 slots full. The two are trunked together running in the
same VTP domain. 3550 A is a VTP server and 3550B is a VTP client. We have a 2950 trunking off 3550 B that we would like to move up and have it trunk off the 3550 A. Every time we move that trunk up to 3550 A we are unable to pass any data through the trunk. Were using the same encapsulation, trunking is turned on, and when you look at the trunk stat all vlans are allowed. The other odd thing is when you look at the interface status, the gbic put into any slot left on the 3550 A will not either negotiate duplex right of speed right.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated
