Hello,

Our Mitel box keep changing the time in our phones to one hour forward.
I keep changed it every Monday but then over the weekend the box is doing something that changed it back to be one hour forward.
Can someone tell me how to fix this issue.

We currently have a 9.0.3.15 software version.

Thank you.

My Guess as well is that OPS is scheduled to set the time and the OPS Server has the incorrect time.

Yes, we have a computer as OPS.
I check last week the time on this computer and it was fine, i am not sure how to correct this issue. any instructions on how to use this OPS computer, i saw on the mitel box some setting referring to this box and some connection thru FTP.

Thank you for your help.

you should be able to tell in the maintenance logs what is changing the time. if its opsman you will see it logging in.

It may also be that the Element record in OPS does not have the DST check box enabled (Or the other way around). This being the case OPS may set the time 1 hour differently

kwbMitel,

I think you are right, the logs show that the OPS change the time every saturday at 10:00 am. So how do I fix the time in OPS computer?
I check the windows time on that machine and it was correct last week, i have not check it this week.
so how can I fix this issue, where should i change the time so this won't happen again?

Access OPSman and then find the Editor for the Elements.

Open the editor for your 3300 and verify the settings for timezone and Daylight savings time.

One of these will be out of whack.
- Time on server
- Time Zone
- Daylight Savings

Sorry I can't be more specific on where to find the element editor. I haven't used OPS in quite some time.

I was unable to open OPSman editor.
It is giving me an error message when trying to connect to the Mitel box.
Since we do not have the support of our tech guys to figure it out, my next question on this is, what will be the problem if I shut down the OPSman computer so is not messing the time again?

Are you using OPS for anything below:
- Cluster Syncronization
- Multi-controller Telephone Directories
- Resiliency
- Scheduled Backups
- Scheduled Night Service Switching
- Alarm Notification
- Moves adds and Changes
- Time synchronization (Yes)

If so, can you live without it is really up to you.

It is been disconected from our network for a week now and it seems that nothing had changed, no one have reported a problem or anything.
I guess i can leave it like this for now, see what happen.

Thank you,KwbMitel.

If you want to make changes to the sets on your system you are going to have to turn it back on or you will really pooch yourself.

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.

So I decided to keep looking into this issue last night and spend two hours looking into the Mitel enterprise management trying to open the OPSman.
But every time I try to open it said “a security violation has occurred” then nothing happen. Does anyone else had this issue?
