As I have found out, either my ability to program the 3300 is pants or it's the software!!!

Here's what I can't make work - excuse the lack of Mitel-speak as I have inherited this PBX and am an IT guy rather than a telephony one.

We have an incoming DDI number that ends up at an IVR comprising voicemail accounts somehow stringed together to form a menu.

At the moment, menu option 2 rings a single extension (426) and if the person at that desk is not present the call goes to their voicemail (426).

I have changed this so that option 2 goes to ring group 510 and this group contains x426 and x138. So far so good BUT I cannot get unanswered calls to go to voicemail...

The overflow point for RG510 is *556, and *556 is a terminal hunt group set as a NameTag. I have a voicemail account setup as 556, not associated with an extension.

For inbound calls, both phones just keep ringing and there's no apparent timeout and jump to the voicemail.

Am I on the right lines and perhaps just missing one or two key config tweaks along the way?? Software is 4.1SP1

Any assistance appreciated.

Thanks.

Go to call rerouting and programme 510 to go to voicemail in the always first alternative set for 510. Don't use overflow for this.

Thanks for the quick reply but group 510 is not listed on the call rerouting pages; do I have to set this up somehow? I need simple instructions as I dive into this system perhaps once every 2-3 months!

Regards etc.

associate the mailbox with the extension (556) if you want integration to work.

Additionally, I would create a single line key on a phone for 556. This key exists simply to set a lamp against. Then you can program MWI keys on the 2 phones 426 and 138.
