I am new to the 3300, and I was wondering if anyone has suggested record keeping spreadsheet / practices that they would be willing to share. In particular, I am concerned about keeping track numbers (Prime, Non-Prime, etc), given that there are so many uses for numbers and limited ability to search the system to find all the places a number might be used. Assigning non-prime numbers to buttons on sets then losing track of them is my main concern.

Thanks, John

Good Record keeping = Telephone Directory

Nice trick is to name things with the first character being a .(period) so that they don't show up in the Tel Dir when searched via the phone.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Agreed on the Telephone Directory and _ also works to keep things out of the list, there are a few features on the 3300 that could help you so you don't have to worry about the documentation too much:
- the Multiline appearance groups form could be exported or just referenced when need. It doesn't contain the directory name or label but does show you what each number type is etc
- There are 2 maintenance commands that are also useful - LOCATE NUMBER and DGT TRACE - they would be able to give a point in the right direction for where a number is located
- When setting up systems I also like to created a trusted device with full PKM's with all my phantom dn's and label them.
