Guys

i have a DECT handset on an embedded port and i cannot get the message lamp on the handset to light and also i am not getting any caller id either. I have tried connecting to a per cab and i still get the same problem.

Any ideas as hopefully i am mising something really simple

Cheers

By default the Message Lamp is disabled in the Analog Circuit Descriptor.

Cant help with caller ID, sorry

There is an island of opportunity in the middle of every difficulty.
Miss that though, and you're pretty much doomed!

I think caller ID requires a CLASS port, I don't know offhand how many are available on the AMB/AOB's, if any.

You need to go into the descriptor and assign msg waiting lamp to get it to work also for you caller ID it is in the class of service of both the trunks and the set for ONS class clip.

Thanks Guys

I overlooked this COS option:

Before you enable the Message Waiting option, you must program ONS CLASS/CLIP features and then designate an ONS CLASS/CLIP set.

In the Class of Service Options Assignment form, set the ONS CLASS/CLIP: Message Waiting Activate/Deactivate option to "Yes

Thanks everyone for all your help.
