3300: Key Assign 1

Hi all,

Wondering if I can setup a key assign for a user that wants to "see' a light indicator for a co-workers phone on one of her buttons.

Then, when this co-worker is on the phone - notice they are on the phone by the lit button - BUT - "not" be able to answer or listen in on the conversation - is that possible?

Make sense?

This would be the normal operation of the 2 most likely keys.

Key System Line -
DSS / BLF Keys -

If you are already using one of these keys and use of the key allows intrusion then your system is not set up normally.

Please elaborate. (Include SW rev)

Your question suggests that you have a solution in place that is not working the way you want.

Is this the case?

If so, Which method are you using or some other?

If not, try one of the methods I've mentioned above and see if it works for you.

Hi,

Yes - we have used key system line in the past.
Not sure about DSS/BLF...
This is a new user - no key assigns setup on their phone yet.

I'll try one of the methods you mentioned.

Using Key assignment lines Can and I stress CAN (not will) allow a user to intrude on the destination line. This would require Privacy to be disabled on the destination and possibly intrusion options enabled on the users set.

I don't believe a DSS key will allow intrusion. It does not provide all the same functionality though. It will however, show the user on the phone which is your only stated goal.
