I bought a used 3300ICP with the passwords to let me program stations, trunks, COS and so forth. I can setup and remove voice mail accounts for the few phones. I did not get the password for the VMX administrators station and I don't feel like going from 0001 to 9999 and hope I get lucky. Is there a way to erase all the VMX data and start over? I won't have more than 8 or 10 phones so it won't be a problem to put them in.

Try 9731

If you start at 9999 and work down, something might happen on your 269th attempt

Damn smart phones, I didn't think that first one was there
I decided to be more circumspect but obviously to late

Thanks everyone. I tried the suggestions and numbers close to those but it didn't work.

I can access the disc structure with a serial cable on the maint port and have gotten to the /vmail directory. Is there a way to delete all the mail boxes and just start over?

Thanks again

Ken

Use an FTP client and go to /vmail/c/vm, then copy the file parm.bin

Open using notepad and you will see 3 x 4 digit numbers, these will be the admin, manager and technician level passcodes for the admin mailbox (9999)

There is an option to 'erase the current setup and configure a new installation' when you enter the admin mailbox

Thanks to Mr Itel and kwbmitel. I found the parm.bin file, made a copy and deleted the original. Then I was able to use password suggested by kwbmitel and get control of the voicemail.

Thanks again.
