Have set up sip trunking between a 3300 ICP with NuPoint and a Nortel CS1000. Seems to work for the most part, but wondering if anyone has come across the following problem: internal call from the CS1000 on an IP phone to the MITEL - to an IP phone. If the call goes to voice mail, the caller hears dead air - what is happening on the other end is that the greeting is playing and then a message is recorded, but the caller doesn't know that.

Seems to work ok if we call from a TDM phone on the CS1000.
Works if incoming call is external to the CS1000, then the extension of the MITEL phone is entered (again that is all TDM).

Also works if the call is answered live - both talk paths are "hearable".

Any assistance would be appreciated - I'm new to MITEL; system is being installed by a MITEL Dealer -

Thank you
Darlene

Most common dead air issues with Nupoint are the fact that all subnets must be added in the local network table within Nupoint. Might be the case here also.
