I am starting to think what I'm trying to do is not possible.

The plan is to have external calls answered by the Auto Attendant, callers then have the choice of two languages, the following menu nodes are exactly the same except for the recording. From either language, option 1 is supposed to connect the caller to an outside number, ie the On-call staff's home number.

Regardless of how we set this up, after selecting 1 we get some "hold tones" followed by "I'm sorry that person is unavailable" and we then get dumped back to the AA.

We've tried different ways of programming this, such as option 1 being the speedcall number. We've tried having the option 1 be a transfer only mailbox going to a "phanton extension" which is then "Re-routed Always" to the speedcall.

(The speedcall works fine if you dial from a set on the system, external callers can also be manually transfered by an internal set and this works fine)

This is on a 3300icp 9.0.

Please help, I hope I'm missing something silly.

It will be due the COS or COR (Or Both) of the voicemail ports.

Set one of the phones you are testing with to the same COS and COR of the VM ports and then test.

The problem (And resolution) will then be easier to analyse.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

Thanks a bunch kwbMitel,
The calls were being restricted by the COR of the vmail ports.

A classic case of Overthinking this was.
