Is there a way to disable the "Call Cell Phone" and "Call FAX" options presented to callers from a users mailbox? The customer does not wish to make that option available to callers.

3300 MXe 9.0 UR2

Thanks in advance...

Dale

The prompts only play if users program a number.

I advise my customers that want the functionality but not the prompt to use digits other than 2,3,or 7. The other digits work the same but do not automatically prompt allowing the user to choose whether to include the option in their greeting or have it as a secret option for those that know about it.

This is a new install and the prompts are playing regardless of whether or not anything has been programmed for the options. According to what product support is telling me now, the only way to disable it is to remove the "Advanved Voicemail" licence from the system which would also eliminate "Record-a-Call" and "E-mail Notification". The customer is going to weigh the options and let us know Monday or Tuesday what they want to do.

No the prompts do not play unless something has been set up.

Often users set something up during the tutorial not knowing what they are doing because they are given the option to.

Login to the mailbox, press 8 then 2 then follow the prompts to locate and remove the option set up by the user.

Okay, I will try it on Monday with the customer and let you know what happens.

You were correct.... Everyone was going into their new mailboxes to set them up and felt the need to supply every bit of info the vm asked for :)

Once the info was deleted, the prompts were gone.

Thanks again!
