hi everyone,

does anyone happen to configure like this flow,

mitel 3300 - vlan3(192.168.3.10)
ip phones - vlan4(192.168.4.10 - 4.254)
ip phones - vlan2(192.168.2.10 - 3.254)

3300 dhcp should be able to serve this ip-range according to respective vlans.

Yes it can, up to 10 ranges when I last checked.

You need an option 125 for each range and a Gateway (option 3) for each range. Not too complicated.

What's most important is that you realise ... There is no spoon.

You can also turn on the option so the 3300 will only serve Mitel phones.

The single biggest problem with communications is the illusion that it has taken place.

how do you manage to put the 3300 in more than one simultaneous vlan? Is it with dhcp forwarding (ip-helper)?

yes via IP-Helper, you create different scopes in the 3300 DHCP to serve the multiple subnets

Im able to configure the box with adding multiple gateways(option 3) and single option 125 only.IP Phones are getting correct ip address from their respective vlans.
Anyway, i'll try to observe if it causes issues otherwise i'll add another option 125.

it is now 50 subnets not 10
the dhcp-helper will point to the 3300 and the vlan info will select the the correct scope and router

What would be the proper format to enter multiple option 3 (router) for each of the subnets?? I tried entering multiple adresses separated with a comma but it did not work..

thanks!

Ok nevermind I see that I can add multiple option 3 using the "scope" field..

Charles,

I do it by selecting subnet for the scope value. You definetely will need the helper option on your L3 device pointing to your 3300 IP address (if that's where your DHCP is at)
