Hey guys,

I have a 3300 CX II 5.0 SP2 and a Prairiefyre CCM ver 6.0.

I was having some difficulty getting the contact center client to log an ACD agent into a particular base phone. I deleted the extension from YourSiteExplorer and attempted to re-add the phone. I logged into the 3300 to verify that the phone was created and I noticed it wasnt. I attempted to add the device via the 3300. However when I went to add the device using the default template, it began to load the template then responded with Error:Record not found.

I looked at the the User and Device Template form and sure enough the default template is not there. I attempted to re-add a default template but it will not allow me to create it. The name default already exists.

So far I attempted a system reboot as well as a db restore both to no avail. DB check returned 0 errors.

Is it even possible to get the 3300 to regenerate the default template? I understand it is created at install time.
Would a system upgrade fix this issue(I have an upgrade scheduled although no date is set).

TLDR:
3300 Default User and Device template is missing. Adding a user results in a Error: Record not found.
Can the default template be recreated? or is an upgrade neccessary?

Thanks

I have this same problem. Worked with support for a while but they couldn't figure it out and I ended up sending him my database. I did find if I created a new template and add it to a role when I went to add a phone I could chose role and chose my new role it would work. What did you do to resolve this I have a feeling I will need to upgrade the software and then restore the DB (but will the restore delete the default template ?)

Craig,

At this time, the problem is still unresolved. I discovered the exact same workaround as you and have been using it since. My office is moving locations January 1st so we are pushing the upgrade date closer to the move date.
