I need to restrict certain extensions from giving out any number and others to give out their own DDI.

At the moment all extensions give out their own DDI but i have about 10 users who need to withhold the outgoing CLI.

There is a setting for CLIR but it withholds the number for all users.

Reading the help it talks about Call by Call CLIR with 0 to allow and 1 to restrict but i don't understand it.

Any help really appreciated.

Thanks

With T1-PRI trunks and CPN-substitution you can do pretty much anything you need to do in regard to passing some numbers and substituting a generic number for others.

Yup what MitelinmyBlood said. CPN substitution works great. I am using this at a few sites.

I am not sure if you can turn it on or off for some but you can certainly decide on a per set basis whether you send your main DID number or the extension's DID.

Thanks Guys, I can send the main number or the extension number but i would like to withhold the number. I can do this system wide but would like to know if you can do it to just a few users?

Cheers

Yes you can is this a NSU node or a T1 module.

You will need a route list deny the extensions you want to show id on from accessing the default route that sends caller ID and allow them on the second route that is restricted.
