Hi Guys.

What do you guys do if you want to licence a 3300 via the AMC when its on a Voice Vlan which has no internet access?

The reason I ask is that I licenced a cluster of 3300s at the office and now that they are on site i want to shift some licences around.

Thanks

I've been waiting for the opportunity to try this but haven't had the opportunity yet so this is as yet untried.

First connect to the internet via your laptop using dialup or LAN from a location that also gives you access to the 3300.

Using the Software installer tool, Full install, uncheck all options except the License and Option selection.

I ran this by Mitel TAC when I had a chance and they said that this is the accepted method.

I would be interested to hear if this works.

You are a star. I knew that you could upgrade the system using AMC from the Software Installer Tool but i did'nt know you could use it just for licencing. I was hoping that Mitel would give a licencing only option on this tool as it gets around my problem.

I will give it a try and let you know.

Thanks

Cool,

Another tool for my back pocket, Thanks for letting me know.
