Have used #321 to reduce rings at a particular extension from 2 (factory setting) to 1 and yet that extension continues to ring 5 times when call comes from Partner Voice Messaging PC Card.
I'm scratching my head.
I would really appreciate your assistance.
thank you

Sorry I didnt give that info. Its Rls 6.0

Interestingly we were able to apply VMS coverage rings #321 changes to other extensions, so in order to get this finished we just moved the person who needed the fewer rings to another extension.

then when we tried #399 to copy the successful extension over the stubborn extension, it still did not change the stubborn extension.

It works for now but it would be nice to get additional suggestions as to why this stubborn extension will not accept the VMS cover ring changes.

thanks

Question how many rings when you call it direct from another extension?

Check that you have assigned Auto VMS Coverage to the extension

#310-XX-1

If you haven't, the call is transferring from the Auto Attendant, and coming back via unanswered transfer return to the same voice mail port that did the transfer, and since the VM did the original transfer it is matching it up to the mailbox.
