Hello everyone... is there a way to build the app in vfp 9 to be in 64bit? thanks

yes and no.

not using VFP 9 from Microsoft

but there is this.

apart from there being a 64bit option even the 32bit version fixes a few bugs in VFP9.

some people are nervous about unofficial versions (esp. copyright) and/or are waiting for there to be an absolute need (e.g. >2gb tables).

But i believe others here are using it already.

thanks nigel.... i'll the article about it....

Yeah, it's well known, and MS seem to have just disregarded it... so I don't have a fear about it.
Though I haven't looked at it in a while, I don't know if the guy (in China) who created it is still developing it or not.

The question is why 64bit? Your 32bit application also runs on Windows 10 64 bit, that's not the problem.

What do you expect from 64bit support?

When JPSoftware removed the 32-bit version of Take Command Console, I could no longer use the 32-bit versions of In-Process COM DLLs that I had developed.

The workaround was to create a DLL surrogate, which allows me to use 32-bit versions of In-Process COM DLLs from 64-bit Take Command Console.

I can also still continue to use 32-bit versions of In-Process COM DLLs in 64-bit VBScript and 64-bit PowerShell via a DLL surrogate.

I would be VERY interested in trying a 64bit version of the VFPOLEDB...
