We have an IP403 Control unit running 3.2 (53)and our 30 port IP400 digital station expansion module isn't detected in the manager, I even tried replacing the control unit. The light comes on solid green and everything looks okay. Do you guys have any suggestions before I buy a new one? I tried plugging it into expansion module 2 instead of 1 and tried a new cable and it didn't help get it detected.

Thanks!

Sorry forgot to add obviously I tried reboot everything and powering it off in order as well...

It's possible the Digital 30 is a newer release than the IP403 R3.2.53. You would need a newer processor to recognize it and downgrade it to R3.2.

Hey Telecomboy, it is a newer release but its less than 2 major versions so it's 5.2... although maybe that's still the problem. It actually detects it in manager now and the extensions are put in for the digital 30 ports but when I plug in a phone to any of the digital 30 ports the phone light just flashes red like the phone has power but can't load the user profile... hmmm

Actually, the 5.2 being seen for the digital 30 means it is actually at level 3.2 software. I would run the upgrade wizard to bring it to the R3.2.53 (or 5.2.53 actually as it will show). That way, you know it is on the proper release to talk to the IP403.
