I have a 3 site SCN. All are IP Office 500 units running 4.2.11. This site has been up for almost 2 years without experiencing this issue until just recently. The last upgrade was done many many months ago.
I will call the IP offices 1, 2, and 3.
When 2 calls 3 over the SCN via intercom, everything sounds great for 2. For 3, everything sounds great, except every once in a while their will be bursts of noise (similar to being on the phone in a windy area). They are connected via a VPN using fast cable modems.
This was tested and verified by us. I do not know if it is isolated to just 2 and 3, or if it will ever happen with 1.
Has anyone experienced this in the past? Do you think it is a networking issue? That was my first thought, but all of my speed tests and latency tests passed with flying colors.
Is this a known software bug, would upgrading help? Possibly a bad VCM module? I will continue testing to narrow it down, but any input would be appreciated.
Thank You!
