Hi!

does anybody know if is possible to initiate a call to a digital extension or 3-party conference a digital extension where no physical phone is attached? (BC9)

Would that be possible with a patch?

We would need this in order to record spoken voice commands given to and IVR application using Automated Speech Recognition.

The IVR application would initiate a 3-party call with a digital phone where a proper voice recorder is attached.

The problem is that we don't want to use a physical phone (because no human being would use them).

If the phone could answer automatically that would be even better.

Thanks!

Find a resistor of 1Kohm .
( i seem to remember that 600-1000ohm is off-hook,
and 1500ohm is on-hook for analoq devices)
Connect it to the MDF between the a b on a analoq
equipment position.(makes it permanent off-hook)
Program the equ-pos. with the internalnumber XYZ .
Make it an automatic answering line without clear
possibilities . SPEXI:DIR=XYZ,OPT=A;

You should now be able to call XYZ all the time and it
will automaticly answer each call .

Yes you can do this. You initiate a digital extension with ICAT 0. This way you get a digital extension that will not be blocked and that you can controll through AL (TAPI, TSAPI or CSTA).

We developed applications using this and it works fine.

Good Luck
Fredrik

Thanks fidde and syar2003, I am going to test it ASAP.

Fredrik,
in our environment digital extensions are used. I cannot find the command for setting the ICAT parameter you mentioned for digital phones (dialog 3210). Can you help me with that?

Also, do you know if a command exist for digital phones that has the same effect of the SPEXI:DIR=XYZ,OPT=A; that SYAR2003 mentioned for analog phones?

If we can force answer without controlling through Application Link that would be the preferred way.
Thank you again.
Paolo

YEAH!

EXCCS:CAT=15,TRAF=00151515,SERV=00001200,CDIV=.......;
KSEXI:DIR=ABC,EQU=1-0-10-0,ITYPE=0,CAT=15;

/** NUMBER TO CALL = XYZ (ODN CANT BE AUTOANS) **/
KSANI:ADN=XYZ,DIR=ABC,KEY=30,CAT=15,CALALT=6;

/** IF AUTOANSWER IS WANTED FROM EXTERNAL LINE **/
ASPAC:pARNUM=120,PARVAL=0;
Y;

/* IF CONFERENCING IS WANTED TOWARDS NUMBER XYZ */
SPEXI:DIR=XYZ,OPT=E; ! TAKES UP 8 TMU INLETS !

Now you have a number XYZ that is autoanswering .
And ABC can in addition used to dial into for automatic conference (upto seven parts can dial in)

Hi Paolo

Syar give you a good example. I was a little tired ofcourse it is ITYPE and not ICAT. So it's the ITYPE parameter that should be set to 0. Also beware that if you use the emergency conferance you can not monitor the phone from AL but maybe that's not needed in your case.

Let us know how you succed.
Fredrik

I am almost there...

I am now able to call both DIR and ADN even if the physical phone is not connected.

I can call ADN and make them auto-answer.

I have a little problem with conference and ADN.
If DIR(x) calls DIR(y) then DIR(z) then conference, then conference works fine.

If DIR(x) calls ADN(y)[autoanswer] then ADN(z)[autanswer] then conference, then conference is not estabilished. ADN(y) remains parked.

Any idea?

Also if you can email me directly I would avoid congesting the forum! My address is pbroglia@yahoo.it

Thanks

I apologise, the address is p_broglia@yahoo.it

I for one would like to see the whole solution posted on the forum. I can't see how a few bytes of text traversing the Internet is going to congest the forum.

I've been following the above discussion with interest and will be rather frustrated if the final bits of the solution aren't posted for all to see.

humbly yours,
John.

Deflect the calls to be placed in conference to the ADN witch is Emergency(OPT=E)
However i assume you loose call control after that ,they cant be taken back , as
Fredrik says the emergency nr. cant be monitored .

If this isn't working as you want it to be .
Use the ODN at the ITYPE=0 extension as master conference leader ,and remove the emergency adn .

John: I will update the thread with the latest news.
SYAR: thank you. As soon as I have the test plant available I will try it.
