I'm having 2 different problems with bcm50s that are networked:

First, and never noticed before so don't know if it's a bug or normal, but I can't get blind transfers over VoIP to work; the caller hears silence, and the person receiving the transfer answers and gets nothing but silence. On an announced transfer, it works.

Second, if I call in AA on site A and dial an extension in site B or C, the caller ID info are correct. However, if extension from site A transfers a call to B or C, the caller ID doesn't follow.

I have MCDN keycodes on all 3 sites, and the problems aren't directionnal, i.e from A to B or C to B and so on; doesn't matter.

I use CSE protocol; I've played with send name display, forward OLI and stuff like that, to no avail; I only get transfering phone's name.

Not sure about the other issues but I believe there was a patch that addressed the silence on blind transfers.

Further testing led me to this:

Site A and B have IP phones; C has digital.

If on A I do a CF (F4)from a dig or IP, CLID works
If I do a blind transfer from a dig, CLID doesn't, but xfer works
If I do a blind xfer from IP, nothing
If I do an announced xfer from IP, works but no CLID.

I know I've seen a transfer problem from an IP set to a dig or another IP on a VoIP GW trunk somewhere else; can't remember which customer though.

Site A has a 5.0; B and C 6.0, all patched to lastest SU.

Try turning off TRO and/or TAT in the MCDN settings. I have had numerous strange issues with VOIP trunk calls that were resolved by disabling one or both of these. Try TRO first.

Thanks atascoman; I think they're both off, but I'll take a look nontheless; after hours in front of PC and testing, I get burned out and have tough time remembering what I did and did not try!!
