3.7 to 4.0 upgrade

Has anyone had the upgrade stall at 30%? If so, what was the remedy?

In my case, I had to rebuild the system back to 3.7 and start all over again. It's worthwhile using the upgrade check tool.

The laptop that I was using never did show any progress past 30%. After doing everything but immersing it in water it finally loaded the files from the disks. The upgrade completed and all is well. Very strange, never have had it happen like this.

Dirty or faulty CD perhaps, so it sat there trying to read it forever is my guess.

Pledge is a good secret to use for failing CD's.

Same thing happened to me. I was determined not to shut it down or have to replace the hard drive. For some reason I was still able to log into unified manager, performed a soft reboot, reran the upgrade(which left off where it started at 30%) then it just started to load files.

It's almost like it was expecting a reboot at 30% that never happened.
