i have an nec 2000ips dm with 2 pims and have a 64port tdm license enabled, there are 16 dterm extensions running on my 2nd pim and when they were programmed, they all worked fine. however all 16 extensions failed to start up on a system reboot. the extensions are still in the programming but on each of the sets the display shows 'initialise' and is appears to be frozen. both 8dlcp cards are in slots 00 and 01 resepctively.

the only way to get them working again is to delete the programming of the sets and put the programming back in. the system is on release 6.

any help would be greatly appreciated

You need to check your port capacity, this is what happens when you do not have a license for the number of ports you are using.

Smoom is correct check F88>10 this will tell you the number of ports you can have.

Just a quick FYI
on the IPS, each PIM is 64 physical ports.

Also
with out too much detail you can "cram" a PIM and blow 64 ports before you have the PIM filled with cards. This can cause problems as well with limited licensing.

Okay Sorry I reread you original post. DM cabinet is only 40 Physical Ports and a DML is 56 ports. The remaining ports do not move up to the next PIM they are lost. You need another 64 ports.

I'm not sure how this effects a full system but when using remote pims you can allocate ports to a processor in Command 053 So if you purchase 192 ports, you could allocate 64 ports to the main site and you can spread the remaining 128 across the remotes in even 8 port blocks.

Gbaughma,

On the original post it states The phones fail to startup but are still in programming. This is not an EC6 issue.
