2nd HD stop working

Hi All,

The 2nd HD has stopped working and ''disappear from the Windows 2000 explorer screen. Ran Maxtor DOS diagnostic programs and pass with error-free certification. No problem seeing it with FDISK as well but just can't see it in Windows 2000. Any idea ? Thanks All in advance.

Trying running add new hardware, long shot but might work.
Is the drive registering in BIOS???

Is the drive visible in device manager?
Does it need formating?
If it is formated is it Primary or logical?
If it is primary it may not be recognised correctly. Try it as a logical.

How to do that? (Try it as logical)

Maybe you will be able to see the drive in computer management under it logical drives option. Quickest way to get there is go to run and type in compmgmt.msc
