2nd DSS Power supply

I am about to connect a 2nd DSS to my MLX-20L console. I have read that I need to connect an external power supply, but which one: KS22911 kit(Auxiliary power supply 48 Vdc and includes 400B2 wall jack adapter and 6-pin line cord) or can I use the Avaya 1151A1 or A1151B1 Power Supply.

I have also heard that I might not need the external power supply at all if I have all 4 pairs wired end to end from the Merlin to the wall jack, which I have already. The console is not but about 500 ft from the system.
Any comments or knowledge given will be greatly appreciated

If you already have one DSS, then you shouldn't need an additional power supply. -OR- if it is powered by the Wiring to the set, that is sufficient as well.

I suppose the same is to be said about the MFM adapters if all 4 Pairs are wired (I think Pair 4 brown/white carries the power from system)then I would not need a power supply for those MLX-xx phones either
