Hello, I'm just looking for some advice. First of all, I don't even know if its wise to use Delphi for this genre of game, but it's all I have to work with.

I'm just a little bit unsure how I should approach the whole graphics element of the project. Should I use certain components or just like a canvas encompassing the whole screen. Graphics have never been my strong point, but with a little shove in the right direction I'm sure I can figure it out.

Also, If anybody has any resources on sprites and/or collision detection, that would be useful too.

Thanks,
Pat

Thanks for the reply.

I downloaded DelphiX, but unfortunately it doesn't appear to be compatible with my Delphi 2005. Is there any way around this besides downgrading?

download the D7 package from here.

you can recompile it under D2005.

some more delphix resources

I use DelphiX under D2006 without any problem...

Cheers,
Daddy
